After a two-year stint in the US, I then went on to be an independent trader at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which I had been at for 30 years. That was the first time in my life I had been involved in a sailing business, and then I was sailing the first time with a sailboat.
I am now living in a yacht called the Rabin. It has two dinghies at sea. I have a crew of eight, which is about 20 people. I have two two-foot mast-hooks to anchor in the water and a two-foot mast to hold the boat down. My crew is all British, so I am British.
It is a very beautiful and relaxing place. It is full of wonderful people. A lot of the scenery is beautiful and very interesting.
My parents are all from the UK. My mum is from London. I had a very good education and was a student in school when I was at School of Mines. My dad, a builder, is an engineer. I am an engineer, too.
There is no way I could have been a Scout or a Scoutmaster, but I am proud. I am a proud boy.
