I. Vision & Direction [Beta Version Special]
Be willing to follow the current design guidelines and development roadmap during Beta. After 1.0, you can go wild [Joke, but it will have more freedom in what you want to develop or add]. Propose changes when appropriate, but understand that the final decision on the mod’s direction remains with the project lead.

II. Reliability
Be available at least semi-regularly

Please, please, please: Communicate when you will be unavailable for a long period of time.

Don’t accept an assignment and then disappear without explanation [Sorry Beneath Maroon Sky…]

Meet agreed-upon deadlines when reasonably possible. Leeway is given reasonably and consistently

III. Conduct
Follow the server rules

Treat other devs respectfully

Accept criticism knowing it’s not personal

Give criticism constructively

Don’t create unnecessary drama or undermine other devs

IV. Competence
Have at least a decent working ability in the area you’re applying for. You don’t have to be a Da Vinci, but don’t claim to be a dev, apply, and find out you don’t know it

Be able to work independently after meeting guidelines [only if you want to]

Be willing to learn the project’s workflows, artstyle, and standards

V. Collaboration
Ask questions when something’s genuinely unclear, make sure you understand the full task so that you don’t have to come back and do it again because, for example, another dev made something that they thought you covered, but didn’t

DOUBLE CHECK HISTORICAL ACCURACY when creating historical content

Keep work organized and compatible with the project’s existing structure

Document unusual or subpar implementations or systems

VI. Beta Clarification [Expansion of VI]
The roadmap can change, but changes should happen deliberately rather than just because different individual contributors gradually pull the project in different directions.
