My mother was a successful accountant, and she had no idea who I was until I started sailing. The way I had known her I never really knew how she would react to the knowledge she had gained.
I think that was why I was so impressed with the lessons she offered. "If you're going to be sailing you have to be at the top of your game," she told me. "You have to be a good sailor."
After my father died I started sailing, and I had the chance to take part in the first International Sailors' Day, which was held in Dublin on the 8th of May 2008. The day started off with sailors and Sailors, and on the 14th of May I sailed from Dublin to the Bahamas.
It took me almost a year to reach the island of New Caledonia, where I boarded the Icy Sea. I took two days of sailing, and then I went on to a beautiful coast, but I was so tired I forgot to take a shower. I was really sad when I was back on the island, and I wasn't sure if I was going to be sailing again.
From here I travelled to the mainland to meet my uncle, who I was going to stay with for the rest of my life. My mother was a great sailor, and I had two great sons, who went on to become the captains of the Icy Sea. My sister, a great sailor, and I were married and lived with our family for the rest of my life.
I had done well with my sailing, and I was very happy when I arrived in New Caledonia. I had been sailing for ten years, and I had had a great time.
